Management System
The
power of content control.
The Case for Mobile Content Management
Technologies such as Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) and iMode
are enabling companies to design miniature Internet sites, specially
created for mobile phones with smaller displays and 'thin' connections.
Though the mobile Internet is still in its infancy, its impact could
be far greater than that of the PC-based version.
We will enable you to provide content over mobiles through Ducont's
Content Management System. The CMS application is made up of multiple
plug-in modules that provide rich functionality. These modules are:
1. Core module (manages tables, menus, data, users)
2. Reports module (reports for analysis)
3. SMS advertising module
4. WAP advertising module
5. Interfaces (to other Ducont WAP and SMS applications)
Mobile Portal Management with CMS
CMS is a web-based mobile portal management application with multiple
functions. Creating and managing a mobile portal with it is easy
and requires minimal developer involvement. CMS allows a mobile
operator to:
1. Create localised, multilingual (English, Arabic and French) WAP
portals and mobile Intranets
2. Manage multiple portals within portals
3. Reach audiences via SMS and/or email through a "fire and forget"
application
4. Execute branding policies through proactive, reactive and passive
advertising using WAP and SMS
5. Manage user registration databases
6. View and analyse MIS-quality statistics and traffic data
7. Create users, groups, profiles, and triggers
8. Update online with no downtime
9. Re-purpose data
10. Manage the portal with small teams - "few publishing for many"
Databases
The company's content team can create tables as and when they add
new information categories. Based on the table, they can create
the menu structure and specify the drill-down levels and sort orders.
User Management
CMS clients can be provided to the content teams who can manage
their portals/applications hosted at the company. The CMS administrator
can create users and user groups. Each user can have different access
rights (View, Write, Delete, Archive) and can be part of one or
more user groups.
Data Entry
Content for the mobile portal(s) can be:
1. Specified through URLs leased from content providers
2. Ported through popular MS Office applications (Excel, Access)
3. Entered directly from the keyboard
Reports from CMS
CMS provides a variety of reports that allow a mobile site operator
to analyse traffic data. The reports that are currently available
through CMS are:
1. Total visits (impressions)
2. Number of visits to each link
3. Most and least popular links and downloads
4. Most and least time spent on links
5. Searches run off your portal
6. Popular keywords
7. Common exit points from the portal
